Sales and Marketing Manager

Location: Jersey City, NJ, United States
The experienced sales and marketing candidate will be responsible for developing and managing all aspects of marketing & sales operations. 

  • Forecast sales, achieve growth, and hit sales targets by successfully managing and mentoring the sales team. 
  • Set up and monitor pipeline tracking system, automation, and workflows using Salesforce. 
  • Develop a business and marketing plan for revenue and expense controls. 
  • Analyze line of business operations to determine profitability and establish a baseline for action and operational changes. 
  • Get into the trenches with the sales team, making calls, talking to clients, giving the pitch, etc. 
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs.  
  • Measure and optimize paid marketing using dashboards, Google Analytics, and marketing analytics reports. 
  • Craft landing pages and lead generation forms for our content to distribute through relevant paid programs.  
  • Manage and improve organic search engine performance and goal-setting based on clickthrough rates, traffic, and conversions. 
  • Grow subscriber base by providing them with regular, helpful content.  
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and changes with SEO and major search engines.  
  • Optimize content for search engines and lead generation.
  • Manage various email campaigns, including the template designs, calls-to-action, and content.
  • Segment lists based on behaviors like past email engagement and website interactions (content downloads, site page visits, etc.).  Measure results and optimize the lead nurturing workflows for these segments to convert leads into customers. 
  • Build and manage the company’s social media profiles and presence, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and additional channels that may be deemed relevant. 
  • Create shareable content appropriate for specific networks to spread our brand and content. 
  • Monitor and engage in relevant social discussions about our company, competitors, and/or industry. 
  • Run regular social promotions and campaigns and track success.

Required Qualifications
  • BS/BA Degree in marketing or business
  • 5+ years sales management experience.
  • 2+ years of marketing and content creation experience.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, as well as the ability to adopt the style, tone, and voice of our business' various types of content.
  • Excellent organizational skills to work independently and manage projects with many moving parts.
  • Solar industry experience.
  • An analytical mind and interest in using data to optimize/scale blog marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Proficient using Adobe Creative Suite and Salesforce
