Project Manager

The Project Manager is responsible for bringing their respective projects to the finish line, which entails, managing the project lifecycle of construction from Notice to Proceed to Final Completion. Reviewing construction budgets, maintaining construction schedule, reviewing scope of work documents for subcontractors, reviewing and responding to RFI’s, submittals and change orders.
  • Responsible for safe work plans, client negotiations, risk management, cost estimation, contract management and execution strategy
  • Lead the development of the project schedule with the superintendent and ensures the team is executing to the plan
  • Monitor project costs and Job Cost Report, analyze and forecast quarterly Total Cost Projection reports 
  • Attend kick-off meetings, and all zoning meetings, as needed
  • Provide weekly status update reports to Director of Renewable Energy
  • Coordinate subcontractor milestone billing with Accounting
  • Oversee the contracting process for selection and management of designers, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors needed to successfully deliver projects under the terms of master project Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) Contracts
  • Monitor and document conformity of projects to required engineering and construction standards
  • Direct contract administration, financial reporting, and work-in-progress reporting and risk management activities
  • Manages to ensure timely submission of project design and procurement documents
  • Development and management of integrated project schedules covering all project phases ensuring project milestones and deadlines are met
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with Project Management (Solar PV), leading large programs consisting of several sub-projects, including technical and commercial aspects
  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to guide diverse teams using good communication and even better listening 
  • Demonstrated success managing subcontractors and developing and executing innovative project changes
  • Experience developing cost to completes, costing and pricing change orders, and maximizing profits
  • Has a solid time management system and demonstrates excellent organizational skills
  • Proficient computer skills in scheduling software (Microsoft Project or similar), and project management software (Procore or similar)
  • Ability to identify and resolve complex issues
