Job Description
Responsible for the coordination and management of commercial solar projects during the construction phase of project lifecycle for solar around the US. Oversee all aspects of project delivery, including setting milestones and deadlines, assigning responsibilities, monitoring project progress, and building and maintaining working relationships with team members, vendors, and other parties involved in the projects.  Travel up to 25% may be required.
  • Leads multiple projects from inception to completion; facilitates projects of varying complexity and size.
  • Review associated contracts, identify requirements, and create and manage project plan to meet requirements
  • Identify project risks, create a mitigation plan for these risks, and monitor throughout project lifecycle
  • Manage sourcing of equipment and services requires to execute projects
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, make constructive suggestions, and implement plans
  • Lead coordination between project stakeholders, utilities, vendors, and contractors
  • Support sales team by estimating project costs and budgets
  • Negotiate and execute contracts with landlords, utilities, and contractors
  • Communicate relevant project information to team, vendors, or other parties through regular meetings, presentations, and sharing of lessons learned.
  • Effectively apply and enforce project standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Create and execute project work plans and revise, as appropriate, to meet changing needs of project requirements.
  • Maintain project notes and other records, ensures quality in contracts and P.O. process, monitors project budget and metrics, conducts research and analysis as needed.
Requirements:
BA/BS Degree (preferably in construction management)
PMP or CAPM professional certifications highly desirable.
Minimum of 5+ years of project management experience (Solar PV) with large projects over $5 million.
Manage scope of projects between all stakeholders.
Develop and maintain project schedules through knowledge of best practices and schedule management tools (Microsoft Project experience preferred).
Outstanding leadership, teamwork, mentoring, and development abilities in conjunction with company standards.
Exceptional organizational skills, follow through, creativity, and multitasking abilities.
Decisiveness, good judgment, analytical/math/strategic aptitude and problem solving skills to act with authority in an environment with little direction from others.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office including Excel and Project required.
