Commercial Solar Sales Rep

The Commercial Solar Sales Rep is an experienced sales person that has either prior commercial solar sales experience, and/or strong access to an existing pipeline of deal prospects in Client’s target audience. Target audience is commercial & industrial real estate, small & medium businesses (SMBs), and municipalities.  

Responsibilities: 
  • Deal making, Prospecting, Client meetings and presentations, Negotiating, Transaction management, Database research 
  • Your goal as a broker is to educate prospects on why they should switch to solar energy and why they should work with a solar broker. While switching to solar will lower our clients’ energy bill by 50% with no up front cost, working with a broker will make the process effortless and cheaper.
  • Serve as a representative of our core values and enthusiasm for clean, renewable energy
  • Establish, qualify, develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Monitor, track, and manage current and upcoming business; identify where customers are in the sales process and strategize to close open sales opportunities
  • Meet and/or exceed all revenue and GP targets in assigned territory.
  • Utilize tools, prepare, communicate, and achieve monthly sales plans and gross profit forecast
Key Qualifications
  • Experience with commercial solar industry and/or are B2B sales veterans.  
  • 2+ years of B2B solar sales experience or 10+ years of B2B sales experience to Client’s target market
  • Self-motivated with a high-level sales mentality 
  • Experience in and strong knowledge of the solar industry
  • Ability to communicate complex issues in a simple, effective, persuasive way
  • Comfortable with regional and potentially inter-state travel
  • Willingness to work from a remote and/or home satellite office
