Business Development Manager, O&M Services

Location: Boston, MA, United States
The Business Development Manager is responsible for the execution of business development activities for an O&M services company, supporting operating renewable energy assets in the northeast and midwest markets. Lead, develop, and implement the overall sales and marketing strategy based on market knowledge, experience and client feedback. Identify key Market opportunities; generate, qualify, and close leads; expand opportunities within existing clients. Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs. Manage day-to-day communications with partners and maintain accurate records. Coordinate sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes used within the sales organization.

  • 2+ years renewable energy operations, engineering, construction management experience
  • Engineering Degree, Master Electrician certificate or other technical background preferred
  • Understanding of utility scale renewable energy markets
  • Experience with EPC work, commissioning, QA/QC and/or Operations & Maintenance
  • Network within markets, particularly with IPPs, developers, and EPCs
  • Excellent data analytics skills
  • Budget management experience
  • Ability to travel 20-30% of the time throughout territory
  • Comfortable in customer-facing situations w/ strong communication and interpersonal skills
