Product Manager

Location: San Francisco, CA, United States
The Product Manager works with an international team to optimize the position of solar products in the North American Commercial market. Duties include managing product life cycles, specifying market requirements for future products, supporting the creation of market-facing Value Proposition collateral, and implementing go-to-market plans.

  • Manages product portfolio for the North American Commercial market
  • Performs technical market and competitor analysis
  • Actively tracks and analyzes applicable engineering guidelines, standards, regulations and incentive programs
  • Identifies country-specific engineering requirements for photovoltaic solar systems
  • Synthesizes market, customer, and other feedback into product requirements
  • Works with Product Development to manifest requirements in the product portfolio
  • Collaborates with marketing to define and execute campaigns, taking into account product positioning, key benefits, and target customers
  • Coordinates the market entry of new products in the respective geography

Skills/ Qualifications:
  • Engineering or Business degree (MS or MBA preferred)
  • Knowledge of Photovoltaics is required
  • Familiarity with Commercial market segment of photovoltaics desired
  • Experience in managing of product lifecycles
  • Ability to manage and oversee multiple projects and/or programs concurrently
  • Ability to communicate effectively across cross-functional, international teams
  • Disposition towards value based positioning within a market
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills - written, verbal, and technical
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems effectively
  • Ability to create and deliver persuasive presentations to technical audiences
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a matrix organization
  • Demonstrated ability to translate conceptual goals into actionable tasks
