The Business Development Manager is responsible for developing megawatt-scale solar power solutions for Distributed Generation (commercial, industrial, government) and utility markets. The right candidate must be able to solution sell EPC services for ground-mount, rooftop, carport, and landfill solar PV projects.  Develop and execute a business development strategy for assigned territory that will deliver aggressive revenue growth that exceeds business plan.  Identifies target geographic and vertical markets, including market attack plan and appropriate market risk diversification.  Develop and maintain strong relationships with like-minded partners whose work will deliver the required results of exceeding profitability targets.  Protect the value of the company by driving the consistent use of established processes and controls to manage risk, while maintaining the highest level of professionalism to customers, suppliers, and investors.
 
Requirements:
BS/BA Degree
5 years of experience selling EPC services in the grid-tied utility-scale solar space and has established relationships with utilities, IPPs, and developers involved in the east coast solar markets.
Must be with the economics of solar and should be comfortable building and working with project financial models in excel. 
The candidate will also need detailed knowledge of the solar project development process, and be able to filter through potential opportunities to identify those with the highest probability of closing.
Ability to develop and manage strategic relationships, assess market & develop market, and convey economic value proposition to the potential customer.
Must be skilled in addressing and resolving Customer-related issues in a manner that promotes highest customer satisfaction while maintaining profitability.
Ability to multi-task and manage effectively in a deadline-driven, challenging environment – accurate and calm under pressure
Previous experience in negotiating with large-scale customers
Self-directed, organized and self-motivated to accomplish goals with a passion for renewable energy.
Exceptional professional communication and presentation skills, both written and oral
