Job Description:
The Project Developer is a key and critical sales support role requiring a knowledge of the solar and renewable energy markets and skills in identifying and pre-qualifying sales opportunities. Knowledge of what makes for a quality solar project and customer are key.
Candidates must be thoughtful and have an insatiable curiosity about solar and the broader energy market context with the tenacity, critical thinking, and discipline to transform data and trends into actionable insights and a potential customer base. The Analyst will work with the members of the sales and development team to capitalize on market opportunities through the creation and implementation of research products that serve existing clients, attract new partners, and promote the brand.
Work directly with sales and marketing via internal and external communications to help generate new sales, build larger programs for existing clients, and effectively market completed research
Perform Lead Generation and market analysis and respond to RFPs as required.
Generate project proposals and quotes for customers ranging from utilities, C&I, MUSH market.
Lead primary data collection, both qualitative and quantitative, on state market trends and customer/project analysis. Conduct competitive intelligence, including market and pricing trend analysis for the direct development of high impact customer presentations and offerings.
Log and maintain all communications with customers in Salesforce CRM contact database

BS Degree in economics, finance, business, engineering.
2 - 4 years of a successful track record of technical sales support in C&I, MUSH and Utility electricity or power generation markets Familiarity with solar power purchase agreements, land option agreements
Passion for renewable energy
Experience with self-generating customer leads and pre-qualification
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Salesforce, PV Watts, Google Earth
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to deliver products on time and meet deadlines
Working knowledge of customer billing data and savings analysis
Proven analytical capabilities – both qualitative and quantitative
Ability to perform market analysis
An outgoing and engaging nature, capable of connecting with clients and industry members in a wide range of professional settings
A deep intellectual curiosity about the effect of a wider business landscape; solid business instincts and a practical understanding of what drives markets based on economic principles
Superior listening, critical thinking, and writing skills, as well as memorable presentation skills
