Asset Management Engineer

The Asset Management Engineer will be responsible for supporting clients developing or acquiring solar assets.  The wide range of engineering tasks for this position will ensure lower capital expense on projects while ensuring operating expense is minimized. The Engineer will provide technical consulting and produce & organize independent engineering reports for clients that are due diligence assessments of solar power generation projects.  Developing and concluding proposals for scopes of services related to due diligence work.  Initiating and coordinating the technical review process and writing of the due diligence reports.  Performing portions of the due diligence reviews, including contract and financial model reviews.  Following up on open issues with the client, including coordinating input on such issues from internal technical specialists as necessary.  Leading meetings with clients to discuss IE report questions and concerns.  Coordinating construction monitoring and performing audits.  Supporting financial closing of projects relying upon the IE report and conclusion of project construction monitoring
Bachelor's degree in engineering or science. Master's degree preferred
5 years of professional experience with a minimum of 2 years' of experience within the solar industry.
Familiarity with monitoring platforms (AlsoEnergy, Locus, PowerFactors, Alectris, etc)
Experience with energy modeling, design review, site assessment, regulatory compliance, commissioning, utility interconnection and transmission evaluation.
Able to take highly technical issues and communicate them in a manner that can be understood by non-technical clients
NABCEP PV Installation Professional Certificate
OSHA 30 for Construction Certificate
Fluency in MS Office products
Requires the willingness and availability to travel
