Field Service Engineer

The Field Service Engineer supports customers and field installations within the assigned region by visiting customer sites to repair or replace inverters, troubleshooting technical issues and answering questions over the phone and in person. The position also collaborates with sales and services teams to build relationships and support new projects with customers. Build relationships with users/customer and build their confidence in the company's products in order to provide customers with a great experience and complete satisfaction with products. Perform commissioning service of inverters at the customers site.  File reports of all service activities within the company and for customers. Improve customer satisfaction through professional attitude and respectful interactions, promptly address market and customer inquiries.  Ensure follow-up and completion of all issues, use leading safety practices and implement all company policies and procedures. 
2 year AA degree or 4 year college degree relating to electrical, power electronics field
5 years of experience with solar and/or energy industry services, commissioning, and applications
Experience in field repair, maintenance, diagnostics of inverter, data communications and PV array
Knowledge of PV systems and technology, grid interconnection requirements, industry standards and codes (NEC, UL, IEEE, utility interactivity)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, diplomacy and sensitivity to critical communications
Proven customer service abilities and good presentation and communication skills
Excellent computer skills, Microsoft Outlook suite
OSHA and related safety training such as arc-flash, high voltage training
Multiplexer, agile, systematic, organized, eager to travel regularly and with short notice for sake of customer satisfaction and field portfolio performance goals
