The Corporate Lawyer will be responsible for overseeing various C&I Solar contracts. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an entrepreneurial passion for renewable energy development and a desire to work with lenders, customers, contractors, and many other external parties. This positions Reports to the General Counsel.
Primary responsibilities for this position include structuring and negotiating contracts such as equipment supply, EPC, O&M, lease, power purchase, performance guarantee and warranty agreements with commercial customers for solar, energy storage and solar + storage projects. You will provide a first review of various contracts, agreements and other legal documents, preparing red-line comments to review with General Counsel, review and negotiate nondisclosure and confidentiality agreements with vendors and business partners, and work with the General Counsel to ensure quality, clarity and consistency across all legal documentation.
- Juris Doctor
- A current license to practice in one or more US jurisdictions
- A minimum of 5 years in-house experience, focusing on Project Finance, commercial real estate and commercial lending, preferably in the energy industry
- Experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts
