The Battery Product Manager will be responsible for developing the battery sourcing plan. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing supplier & partners in consideration of cost, technical functionality, collaboration of technology integration in supplier products while providing commercial and technical support to the product development team. You will be responsible for analyzing, defining, and prioritizing product requirements, prioritizing new features and requirements, and acting as the subject matter expert on the energy storage technologies and regulatory environments.
Additionally you will act as the coordinator with suppliers and the product development team technically and financially, work with the technology growth team for determining the market needs and optimal power electronic products, and work with sourcing team to assure best cost and assure the product meets all the technical needs of the product development group including Financial, technical and collaboration evaluation and recommendation of partners/suppliers. you will manage battery product life cycle to support product road map, maintain latest market knowledge for availability battery products to advance products technically and financially, drive new product ideas through the product development team, and communicate and train internal customers (product development team, growth team, systems team) with respect to product details and specifications, product advantages, product applications and product benchmark compared to alternative providers
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years (10 preferred) of experience in a battery energy storage products/systems product management role
