The Solar Solutions Engineer, is responsible for technical and environmental studies in the development phase of medium to large scale solar projects in the US. From] initial qualification up to transfer to the construction team at ‘NTP’. You will work closely with the Solar Developers and be responsible for the qualification of the sites (including near shading evaluation/preliminary basic geo-technical feedback). You will be responsible for production studies and forecasting including solar resource analysis, PVSyst reporting, discussion with third party companies about Energy Yield Assessments, and defining basic engineering layouts and its optimization in regards with capex/opex costs and EYA .
You will be responsible for over all project planning including the electrical studies such as sizing and design of the solar arrays and choices of equipment (structures, inverters, modules, Scada systems, RFQs, connection studies and participation in connection agreement contract. Additionally, you will be responsible for environmental, structure and geo-technical studies including consultation of engineering firms, budget optimization, preparation of the purchase and service orders, results analysis, costing of retained solutions with major suppliers and in collaboration with the Company’s centralized procurement department.
You will be in charge of environmental audits, legal and technical documents, inspection of the solar equipment, verification of the solar electrical output forecasts, and various assigned objectives.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 2 to 3 years experience in the solar sector.
- Knowledge of PVSyst, SAM, PVSOL or any other PV system study software is mandatory.
- US driver license is mandatory.
