Head of Business Development

The Head of Business Development will be responsible for building the sales department from the ground up. You will not only sell a product, but who will help shape the direction of the company and product, assess the competition, and position the company as an industry leader. You will be comfortable leading in a start up environment and comfortable communicating with multiple work streams, such as engineering and the retail business. 
The Ideal candidate will identify acquisition channels and sales strategies to source more projects, develop partnerships and marketing approaches, and create persuasive customer proposals using market trends, case studies and company solutions. You will set goals, actively measure impact of initiatives and ensure alignment with broader business, partner with product teams and all cross-functional teams to act as point of contact and deliver collected and consolidated information that prioritizes customer requests, and hone in on relevant trends and opportunities in order to craft business cases that support any new requests and/or changes that alter product vision & road map. 


  • 3-5 years of experience in Sales, Marketing, and Customer Acquisition
  • 3+ years experience in enterprise software/SaaS
  • BS or BA Degree
  • 3+ years experience as proven strategic trusted advisor working with C-Level clients
  • Experience selling software solutions to the commercial real estate and/or energy industries
