The Site Safety Coordinator will oversee the Contractor safety teams during construction of our Clients Wind farm. Acting as an owner’s rep you will be responsible for monitoring and enforcing safety compliance at our client construction site in California.
This position involves the performance of job-site safety inspections, audits, delivering orientation and safety training, job site-specific project safety planning and revisions and/or management of safety documents. The Safety Coordinator will assist job-site supervisory personnel with inspections, incident record-keeping and investigation, tracking and reporting of safety performance indicators, identification and correction of hazardous conditions and behaviors.
You will also be responsible for Review and be the subject matter expert in all Client Safety policies/documents – Permits, inspection templates, project setup template, and JHA’s, ensuring Project Compliance with Local, State, and Federal Safety Policies, and manage project PPE supply inventory, and support and monitor critical pick meetings and documentation for relevance and completeness.
- 3-5 years construction safety experience
- OSHA 30-hour construction safety course
- Degree in Safety Management preferred or completion of pertinent safety courses
- Ability to work independently
- Valid driver's license
- Good communication skills, both oral and written
