The Head of Information Technology will guide the IT strategy and maintain the quality and the seamless technology systems of the company. He/She is responsible for all aspects of the IT operation, including guest and employee technology function, security, and safety.
Establish an IT strategy integrated across the technology stack including PMS, RMS, POS, CRM, PBX, booking engine, BOH systems, labor management systems, guest ticketing, guest messaging and any and all other systems that are relevant to improving the guest experience.
Coordinate IT Strategy to support departments (Finance, Design & Construction, Human Resources, and Acquisitions and Development), that are relevant to improving the operations support and development of the company.
Research and recommend the optimal IT solution across the technology stack, securing buy-in from all stakeholders, negotiating contracts and onboarding all new properties onto the technology solutions selected.
Identify ways to grow by researching and staying aware of competitor strategies; and changes within the Information Technology realm.
Manage the information security systems and infrastructure, administering company systems and networks.
Troubleshoot all IT issues and team members to ensure their effectiveness and productivity
Direct the effective delivery of networks, development, and disaster recovery systems and processes, including identifying and eliminating security risks.
Provide remote and/or onsite Helpdesk support to the properties as assigned by property contacts or PCD.
Complete work orders and review changes to IT needs. Communicate regularly with property staff regarding work orders and required timeframe for turnaround.
Develop and navigate life cycle management and purchasing strategy.
Responsible for IT renewal, purchasing, and project budgets.
Ensure company compliance with legal, safety, operations, labor, and the AutoCamp brand product and service standards.
Interact with employees to obtain feedback of their experiences when it comes to company IT issues; utilize feedback to improve service delivery. Be an IT support resource for all team members.
Present and train team members and managers on systems in a classroom or one-on-one environment.
Collaborate with the Accounting Department regularly to ensure supplies and equipment are paid for and in the general ledger appropriately.
Meet with vendors and contractors to learn about new software, products, and services offered.
Develop and oversee Equipment and Software Brand Standards and assure team members are in compliance.
Maintain inventory of IT equipment, software and related infrastructure.
Develop, maintain and enforce effective company internet use policy.
Oversee / carry out special projects as needed.
Participate in all conference calls as required
Support or assumes property system subject master role
Perform property IT audits as assigned
Manage third party resources as necessary
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Required: Minimum five years’ experience working in IT operations, basic knowledge of hospitality operations is required.
Required: Minimum three years’ experience overseeing IT teams and projects.
Strongly preferred: Certifications and continuing education.
Basic networking experience; understanding of wireless, switches, routers, DHCP, DNS, and IP protocols preferred
Experience PCI compliance related controls is highly desired.
Proficient in G-Suite, Microsoft Office, Desktop, Tablet, Laptop environment including Apple MacOS and Windows Operating Systems
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND PREFERENCES
Required: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, information systems, computer science or related field.
