Wind Construction Project Manager

Job Description:
To provide overall management and leadership for utility-scale wind projects throughout North America, leading the project team and ensuring key and successful customer relations, as well as assist operating group with winning work.  Act as primary customer contact for all assigned projects, develop business for future projects, and maintain successful community relationships.  Conduct key customer service visits throughout the project, from pre-construction client surveys to close-out, ensuring project commitments are met, and issues are resolved.  Preview proposals before submission, participate in Request for Proposal process, and provide oversight and accountability for large projects.  Manage contract administration including, terms, change requests, invoices, and progress payments.  Establish and implement project objective & procedures, and maintain project budgets, costs, and pricing, ensuring delivery of a profitable project.  Review work of project managers and project engineers, mentor and manage team members, establish and foster team environment, and develop team members for future career consideration and training opportunities.  Provide high level management of quality, risk, safety, and compliance for the project and team members.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management
5-7 years of experience in construction management overseeing large projects ($20M+)
Proven success in utility-scale solar, wind, and transmission & distribution construction
Proven ability to fulfill development to closeout responsibilities for multiple, complex projects
Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks
Possess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices
Microsoft Office, project and pertinent web application skills at an intermediate level.

Current driver’s license
Ability to travel 50% of the time
