North America Sales Manager, Renewable Energy

As North America Sales Manager for Renewable Energy you will be responsible for growing and generating revenue by maximizing regional sales to reach targets while coaching a high performing team and managing and developing the sales performance, sales channels and customer relations in the region. You will be responsible for key accounts to proactively seek new business potential, develop and maintain existing customer relations while negotiating and closing deals.

You will also demonstrate a systematic process approach to sales and management skills to effectively balance sales resources including experience with Lidar, Digital offerings, modeling techniques, and super-computing capabilities to achieve the superior quality of the data captured in our Renewable Energy solution tools.

Additionally you will define and implement sales strategy for the region in accordance with company and business area targets, explore sales opportunities, identify, and research actions to achieve to sales in cooperation with your sales team(s), develop the sales channel by selecting the most suitable distributors/agents and managing of relations with selected partners, ensure profitable sales by achieving the set profitability / profit levels and minimizing receivables turnover, and provide dissemination of customer knowledge, needs and requirements to segments and other relevant internal interest groups. 

You will set sales targets for your sales team members in cooperation with the business unit, provide constructive feedback to your sales team members in order to help them to maintain good sales performance / improve their sales performance, and forecast and report your sales team(s) performance as required by the sales management using the common tools and sales processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business or technical field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in technical sales (5-10 years) and strong knowledge of trade practices, contractual issues, financing instruments, etc.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • People leadership experience (3-5 years)
  • Work experience in similar role
  • Demonstrated competence in technical outside sales and leadership.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software programs (Word, Excel, Power-Point, Outlook) and current ERP, CRM
  • Proactive communicator and skilled negotiator with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fluency in English is a must. Knowledge of other languages would be a strong benefit (relevant to assigned territory).
