Sales Manager, Renewable Energy

As the Sales Manager, Renewable Energy you will focus on growing the company brand within the US market with a focus on Renewable Energy solutions (sensors and digital). You will create new opportunities within renewable energy markets, meet opportunity creation targets, proactively seeking new business, and negotiate and close deals, plan and implement regional sales, under Team Leader management, in cooperation with company strategy, working collaboratively with the renewable energy sales team, and seek new customers and leads turning them into sales opportunities and successfully closing deals.

You will also prepare quotations and tenders in accordance with the company sales process, ensure profitable sales by achieving targeted gross margins, and minimizing receivables turnover, participate in exhibitions and fairs, organizing online customer seminars and more globally digital marketing activities, and participate in budgeting and action planning, forecasting own sales performance, and developing own sales funnel. 

Additionally, you will act as the subject matter expert on customer needs, challenges, and market conditions, analyze and recommend solutions that solve complex customer requirements; and Business acumen (commercial and legal competences) and competence with relevant industry standards, and monitor customer satisfaction and follow up use of solution sold. 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field; and 5 years’ experience in B2G/B2B direct sales with additional experience utilizing channel partners.
  • Knowledge of technical sales and understanding of government procurement practices, contractual issues, and financing instruments
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of and understanding of the renewable energy industry
  • Experience with a Global organization with an international network
  • Experience generating new sales to existing, and potential new customers
  • Experience with Management of customer accounts; Budget and action planning, forecasting own sales performance, and developing own sales funnel (to include experience with preparing quotes and tenders in accordance with appropriate policies)
  • Position requires up to 50% travel
