The Demand Response BDM will focus on sales of Demand Response SaaS energy products. This position seeks a highly motivated and innovative individual to work in an exciting and challenging environment where teamwork and communication are vital to the success of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Set and meet targets for KPIs. Define, track, and continue to refine activity metrics that correlate to KPI attainment (ex: touches, pipeline review meetings, deployment meetings, etc.)
- Own sales cycle of virtual products from prospecting to initial client reach out through contract signed
- Assist software and operations team and help coordinate the installation/integration
- Research industry landscape, listen to client feedback, and provide feedback to the software development team to help further develop virtual products
- Cold call and email prospects with value proposition
- Generate leads with commercial, industrial, non-profit, and municipal prospects in multiple regions and states
- Demo virtual products for clients
- Build out a pipeline of prospects
- Research and identify potential opportunities
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in sales, account management, or a related role selling energy software
- Knowledge of Data Acquisition Systems, DERMS, and other related Energy software
- Knowledge of renewable energy financing structures and offerings
- Dynamic communicator who easily creates relationships with outside clients to effectively influence behavior
- Ability to effectively and accurately transmit, receive and interpret data through the application of appropriate communication behaviors
- Experience in managing internal projects with multiple stakeholders
- Strong creative and strategic planning skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and tight deadlines, able to work in a concise, clear, and focused manner
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to log and categorize all correspondence
