As Electrical Engineer you will be responsible for Utility Scale solar projects in Canada with a focus on electrical design drawings, procurement, interconnection designs, and project analysis. You will work with a team of senior and junior engineers to ensure client engagement and satisfaction while participating in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:
- Create and run solar energy models using PVsyst while gaining an understanding of the numerous parameters, assumptions and how they all interact to affect the outcome.
- Prepare preliminary layouts, single line diagrams, specifications for inverters, transformers, MV switchgear, and MV cables.
- Create solar layout and electrical design drawings for various equipment capacities and configurations using AutoCAD/ PVCad/ PVCase.
- Become SME on electric code considerations for solar design.
- Manage and implement utility interconnection requirements into design.
- Create constraints maps using GIS/CAD, with inputs from environmental, utility, transportation, municipal and other governing bodies.

- Produce technology comparisons and cost analysis towards optimization for lowest levelized cost of electricity.
- Creating progress, due diligence and feasibility study reports with inputs from other team members. A very high level of technical communication skill is required.
- Present technical analysis and data in reports, summarize key findings and make appropriate recommendations for project optimization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in power generation.
- 1 year in a project environment.
- Basic understanding of project management practices.
- Experience in Solar PV modeling software (PVsyst preferred).
- Experience with project design using AutoCAD or equivalent.
- Valid Canadian Driver’s License, Passport and right to reside and work in Canada. Ability to travel to US and international destinations.
