Renewable Energy Development Attorney

New York, NY

As the renewable energy development attorney, you will be responsible for drafting, negotiating and analyzing development-stage agreements for solar projects in all stages of development. You will also negotiate, review project permits and advice on general corporate, financing and transactional matters relating to the growing portfolio of wind and solar projects nationally.

Responsibilities:

  • Drafting, negotiating, and analyzing development-stage agreements.
  • Negotiate and review project permits
  • Advise on general corporate, financing and transactional matters.
Qualifications:
  • 2-5 years experience advising developers of renewable projects in connection with project development.
  • Prior permitting experience is an asset.
  • Experience bringing projects from early stage to construction required
  • Related project finance and/or M&A experience is an asset.
  • Well-developed analytical, organizational, drafting and communication skills
  • Sound judgment and the ability to work both independently and cohesively as a team in a highly dynamic environment.
